My favorite Christopher Pike book - I absolutely loved this as a kid. A girl is mysteriously pushed off a balcony and wakes up back at home only to discover...she's a ghost. If murder and mystery and ghosts aren't good Halloween reading then I don't know what is. Well it's happened. I'm back on the Twin Peaks bandwagon for, what, the 6th time? 7th? I've lost count. But Brad and I are currently watching the show from the beginning (he's never seen it!!!) and I am LOVING it. I literally clap in glee when we sit down to start a new episode. As if Kristin Cashore wasn't awesome enough - she wrote Graceling and Fire and has an all around fantabulous blog (do yourself a favor and check her out!) - she has also created a new holiday, deeming Valentine's Day "Interplanetary Be Who You Are Day."
